Local Baby Resources
  Birth Resource Center   The Santa Barbara Birth Resource Center offers families a quarterly newsletter, the services of a lactation specialist, breast pump rentals and sales. Additionally, they offer infant CPR classes in both English and Spanish, babysitter training classes and mother/baby support group.

Their newsletter Special Delivery, is a valuable resource, with a directory of classes and events. They are located at 4141 State Street, Suite F3. Phone before you go (683-9590), because they keep funny hours. No web site

 This local site centralizes family resources from pregnancy through elementary school. Great information on parenting groups, kids classes, camps, planning birthday parties and so much more! The founder of the site has twins too.

  Right Start   No Local branch. Chain of baby gear and toy stores with good internet presence.
  Polar Bear   726 Anacapa St.. — 965-6637
Sells used furniture and clothes at very reasonable prices. The owner will also buy your strollers, clothes, etc. if they are in fairly good condition. Recommended by Linda Natale-Schlagel.

Large selection, but some moms have had disfavorable experiences with this store.

OK, this one is not quite local, but the personnel on the floor is generally quite knowledgeable, and the general manager very understanding.

NOMOTC Our parent organization, the National Organization of Mothers of Twin Clubs.
  SCMOTC  

The Southern California Mothers of Twins Clubs.
As of 6/4/01, the site was under construction, but their support services page has some good resources.
  NOFOTC   The National Organization of Fathers of Multiples.
  Triplet Connection   The Triplet Connection is a non-profit organization for parents of higher order multiples. Neat web site.
  2 or More Store   2orMoreStore is a venue for parents of multiples to buy and sell new and used items. It is not an auction site, but for items with fixed prices.

  Parenting Web   Interesting web page on breastfeeding multiples.


  La Leche League   Interesting web page on breastfeeding multiples.
  Double Blessings   Maker of the EZ-2-Nurse pillow. The only nursing pillow I know of designed expressly for twins.
  Twins Magazine   A print magazine on multiples parenting. I advise you to buy a sample issue (Borders carries it) before you subscribe. Some people love it, some hate it.
  TwinsWorld   A web site celebrating successful twins. This may be a good contact if you are interested in having your child get involved with commercials, etc.

  Baby Gear Reviews   A dynamite site featuring candid reviews of all kinds of baby gear by other parents. I highly recommend you check this site and Epinions before you buy any significant piece of equipment.
  Bright Ideas Baby   Bright Ideas Baby is an Official Distributor for Bumbo Baby Sitter and offers free shipping to parents who require more than one Bumbo! All Bumbo colors in stock!
  Combi Store   Combi makes great strollers, and their web store offers great discounts on last year's models. Last time I bought something, shipping was free and very quick.
  Parents Place   Pregnancy and parenting information. A division of iVillage.
  Baby Center   Pregnancy and parenting information, tied to the Right Start store.
  SmarterKids   Toy store with an emphasis towards educational toys.
